Summer in a bowl

On this gorgeously warm March Sunday, when the sun is shining impaiantly and the first pair of shorts for the year have oddly beed spotted on the streets, a smoothie bowl that celebrates everything summer is a must. Because it’s never too early to get excited about summer!

The recipe is easy and simple and requires more imagination and creativity rather than any cooking skills.  Mine smoothie bowl here consists of:

Bananas

Frozen berries

Few fresh stawberries

Kiwis – few left for decoration

A dash of almond milk for smoothness

Drafon fruit – for decoration

To make things a bit more special I also topped my smoothie bowl with some home-made granola.

For the granola I used:

2 cups oats

1/2 cup chopped almonds (I prefer them in bigger chunks)

1/ 4 up chopped cocoa beans (finely)

1/2 cup cranberries

A bit of cinnamon

2 – 3 tablespoons honey or agave syrop

For the granola mix all ingreadients well and spread them over a baking tray layed with baking paper. Bake for 15mins or so until the granola is dry and crunchy.

Sprinkle it over your smoothie bowl and enjoy this yummy taste of summer!
